COZYPHONES KIDS HEADPHONES VOLUME LIMITED WITH ULTRA THIN REVIEWS
We just went on a flight overseas with our 17 month old. He loves movies but hates hats or anything on his head. However, these were a LIFESAVER. Once he realized the headband let him hear, he didn't move. Gave us at least 6 hours total of peace. Definitely a MUST HAVE if you are flying with a little toddler! We got tons of compliments. Do not fly without these!
I have 3 kids and am CONSTANTLY searching for good headphones. This is probably the 3rd or 4th type I've tried. We were doing ok with the conventional plastic head band type when just my older two were using headphone and before my daughter got her ears pierced, but when I started trying to get my 3 yo to wear headphones (I went back to school and couldn't get any work done with Blazin' Bill blaring in the background :) and my daughter got her ears pierced that type of headphone was not working for us. The little one REFUSED to wear the plastic type and they were legitimately hurting my daughter's ears from pressing the posts into the bone behind her ear.
I selected the CozyPhones b/c they had a 100% satisfaction guarantee and I just couldn't afford to spend another $60+ on headphones for 3 kids just to have them rejected/fail. I've been letting my older one stick with the plastic ones we had that still worked, and got a panda and a kitty for my younger two.
They are working out really well.
a) my daughter loves cats/kittens so wearing them is fun for her
b) they are really soft
c) you can remove the electronic portion to clean the bands (I haven't tried to "wash" them in the washing machine b/c I'm not sure if they will shrink, but you can definitely spot clean and probably wash by hand if you need to, like if your kid gets really sweaty)
d) they are loud enough that your kid can hear just fine, but no so loud that any hearing damage might occur.
Other reviews complained about the fact that the electronics can shift around, but we haven't really found that to be a problem - they come with instructions on how to adjust the placement and if they shift out of position it literally takes 2 seconds and is VERY easy to do (and come on parents, you are about to get some "electronic babysitting" if your kid is going to use these so maybe take the 2 seconds, make some eye contact with your kid, fix their ear phone and give them a hug before they zone out on their tablet!).
The guarantee is 100%, and they mean it! I saw some weird reviews about that, but when the panda ones I got stopped working I simply emailed the seller, told them they stopped and not only did they send me replacement electronics for the panda - but hey sent me a spare!!!! The kitty ones are working fine and I think that the panda ones had trouble b/c my 3 yo is pretty rough with all things and I suspect that he just repeatedly bent the cord.
So far the best head phones we've tried yet. When my oldest finally breaks the plastic ones he's using (he destroyed the head band part on his, then the headband part on the pair intended for his brother (the inflexibility of those does not survive well in his backpack which he tosses around without consideration for the contents), he's currently on the pink pair that was intended for my daughter ;) I will replace them with one of these.
You can't go wrong with these - the seller stands by their 100% guarantee.
I bought for my 5 year old ASD/hyperlexic son. He has a lot of sensory needs. He loves his frog ear phones. They fit perfectly on him.
They work...that said, they are small (like pretty tight around my 1 year olds head). If your child doesn't like hats then trying to get them to wear this probably won't happen. They are also pretty toasty (which may be a good thing for some) so using in hot climates is an issue. If they were maybe adjustable with velcro it may work better?
I attempted to use these on the airplane with an iPad for my 1 year old. He wasn't having it and ended up using my Bose over ears headphones the entire time.
One reason I bought the CozyPhones instead of the more traditional kids headphones with the larger ear cups was the size. I am already cramming way too much stuff in my carryon, and these take up much less space! So that was a great benefit.
It took my two-year-old some time to get used to them. He refused to wear the headband several times, even though he loves wearing hats. However, when he finally gave it a shot and figured out that it allowed him to hear his movie, he was on board.
I tested these on myself and found the volume to be pretty low even when turned to max on the Kindle, but I suppose that's a good thing for kids so I don't have to worry about it being too loud.
Works great, baby loves the soft comfortable band and it doubles as a lullaby playing sleep mask for nap time! Genius product!!!
Got these in the mail today after reading a slew of amazing reviews. We're taking our daughter on her first overseas flight and can't envision a lengthy flight without some concentrated time for her books, drawing etc. Generally we put music on in the background but want the same experience for her while flying. She's not a fan of traditional headphones and is too young and sensitive for earbuds. These seemed like the ideal solution. She's already asked to put on her "unicorn headband", so we're excited to see her response while 40K feet in the air. Thank you for this awesome product.
These headphones are REALLY cute but the left earbud stopped working within a MONTH! This was the 1st pair of headphones I bought for my daughter and I've learned that I need to buy wireless headphones bc toddlers forget they can't just get up and go when they're watching their tablet????..Plus it was a headache putting the headphones on her head everytime she wanted to use them.
We bought these for my daughter to use on the plane for a family vacation. We used them with both an iPad and an Android phone at different points. The design is cute and they're built pretty well. It's easy to move the little speakers around inside the fleece headband to line them up with little ears too.
The only downside is that despite the title and some reviews, there is really no perceivable volume-limiting capability. If I turned up the volume on the device it was connected to, the headphones got very loud, just like the adult ones that my wife or I use. We were still able to use them since we put the iPad just out of her reach and set the volume at a reasonable level, but if left unattended she could potentially turn up the volume beyond a safe level. Still useful for us but I wish the item description was more accurate.
Everything is adorable but I wish it was adjustable in the back. My daughter loves it. I love finding unique things other people don't normally have and this is one of them! My daughter is a six and can fit them
